UCF McNair Scholars Program Program Structure
During the academic year prior to the summer semester, students should spend approximately two hours a week preparing for their summer research. During the fall semester, graduating seniors will focus on the graduate admissions process, while juniors will continue to refine and present their research when possible at conferences.
The McNair Summer Research Institute should be considered a full-time commitment. Student participants are expected to spend a minimum of 30-40 hours a week on their research (this can change according to scheduling). In some cases, faculty mentors may require students to commit additional time.
